The Weston Rotary Club is officially launching its Helping Children Heal program at Susan B Anthony Recovery Center (SBA) this coming Saturday, October 9th. The Recovery Center is a unique and extraordinary facility, providing housing to approx. 60 mothers who have substance addiction issues and their children aged 0-11. The Recovery Center allows the mothers to get the treatment they need to live clean and sober lives and develop the skills to stop the cycle of addiction. SBA gives the mothers a safe haven for recovery, keeping them out of prison and their children out of foster care.

Our October 9th program is based on group oriented fun filled activities featuring a live music performance and sing along, Crawl Alley specifically for the babies and 5 reading groups for the toddlers to 9 year olds. What’s a party without snacks! Snack food is being provided to us by Pembroke Pines Costo (special thanks to Bob De Santi). If you plan on carpooling, we are meeting at Northern Trust at 1:15pm departing 1:30pm for the Center. The Event officially runs from 2 – 4 pm.
